fruit tarts
tonight i was really craving something for dessert, so i threw these together. as far as desserts go, they're pretty healthy - and super simple. not that dessert is ever super healthy, but it's mostly fruit, so it's far better than a fat-filled cheesecake, or chocolate cake.
the recipe:
defrost some frozen puff pastry and cut it into small squares (4x4"). poke a few holes in the bottoms with a fork, so they don't stay totally soggy in the middle. place a few pieces of fruit on each square. i used raspberries, blackberries, and apples. any fruit would be good - sliced cherries, pears, nectarines, anything. sprinkle a little honey or brown sugar (or both!) on top. bake at 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. enjoy!
